Project title:

Antibody-mediated rejection and graft-loss: improved characterization of risk before and after kidney transplantation

Research group / Service:

Kidney disease research group

Description:

The selected person will join the Kidney disease research group (Translational Clinical Research Program).

Task:

Preparing basic buffers in the laboratory. He/she will learn to perform a Western Blot, DNA extraction and PCR. In a later phase the person will manage the laboratory supplies and organize purchasing. Furthermore, protein extraction, RNA extraction and enzymatic activities from mouse renal tissue will be learnt.

Formation:

Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Technician or equivalent.

Experience:

Experience acquired in practical lessons throughout the studies are required and more short experiences in other labs will be well evaluated.

Knowledge:

The selected person should have knowledge of some basic skills in the research laboratory such as pipetting, pH meter calibration, calculations of molar units from gram units and the preparation of basic buffers in a research laboratory.
