Translational Research in Colorectal Neoplasia

Research group

Group Leader

Montserrat Andreu García

The group of translational research in colorectal neoplasms has defined as the main strategic objective in the clinical and translational research to deepen in the understanding of pathogenesis of different colorectal neoplastic processes and its prevention and treatment. Nowadays our research is focused to identify factors related with metacrhonous development of neoplastic lesions, especially advanced colorectal adenomas and serrated lesions, in order to improve on the surveillance of these patients, as well as to identify epigenetic markers of the disease progression in patients with CRC.
