Presentation

The mission of the Neurosciences Programme is to support clinical research, which in the end must give us a better understanding of mental and neurodegenerative illnesses. There is special interest in those disorders induced through the poor usage of psychoactive substances and pharmaceuticals.

The Programme is comprised of nine research groups with a highly clinical orientation:

• Human Pharmacology and Clinical Neurosciences, Rafael de la Torre
• Neuroimaging, Oscar Vilarroya
• Physiopathology and pain management, Margarita Puig

A good part of the programme’s research groups are recognised research groups from the Research & Innovation Plan (PRI) of the Catalan Autonomous Government and belong to the CIDEM Technological Innovation Network (IT).
